How to determine that the fruits are ripe pineapple guava
Feijoa - a tropical fruit that grows on an evergreen shrub. The time necessary for a tree to begin to blossom and bear fruit varies widely, depending on its location. For example, varieties of New Zealand fruit is usually from February to May. In Northern California, however, the fruit ripens in late fall or early winter. Fruits usually fall from the tree when ripe, although they can be harvested by hand. Once the fruits are harvested, the ripening process ends.
