Most of the current trends, almost originated on the podium, after only one or two seasons out of date - fashion, as you know, are so short-lived that only a few items of clothing are able to occupy a dominant place in the wardrobe of today's fashionistas for several years. Apparently, this model applies to clothes and in military style, does not lose relevance over the last few seasons.
Fashion designers, for several years now regularly included in their collections of women's clothing elements of the "military" style, inspired by a variety of eras. Some brands are building collections on the splendor and abundance of decorative elements, characteristic, first of all, for the XVIII and early XIX century - worth remembering though Russian hussars with their dress uniforms and military ranks of Napoleon's France. And the abundance of decor and the "front" of the color palette turn directions clothes, even to the smallest detail reminiscent brim military uniforms, article of clothing in the exceptionally beautiful: bright, contrasting combination of red, dark blue with white, shiny decorative epaulets.
Others are fashion designers are guided not so distant era, a new style of interpreting the military uniforms of the XX century. In such collections of luxury decor pushed into the background, and the dominant positions is the concept of practicality, typical military-style of the Second World War, or even elements of the "camouflage" of military overalls of American soldiers during the war in Vietnam. Seemingly, the second military direction of the trend is far less beautiful and advantageous than the first, but it is simplicity, functionality, yet discreet elegance of modern interpretations of the military style of the XX century designers are paying the most attention.
The origins of military style in fashion collections
Over the last few seasons at the fashion community had the clear conviction that almost phenomenal popularity got a military style with a light hand of Christoph Dekarnina - designer, head of the French fashion house Balmain. It Dekarnina collection Spring-Summer 2009, shown at the Paris catwalk in September 2008, appeared in military style jackets studded with sparkling crystals decorative epaulettes. Creation Balmain reminded both spectacular costumes Michael Jackson late eighties - early nineties, and old uniforms of the XIX century. In fact, the military trend originated much earlier - in 2005. The founder of the military style clothing began, oddly enough, Giorgio Armani.
The collection autumn-winter 2005 Italian designer has included a model most similar to a stylish interpretation of military overcoats and suits the era of World War II. Creation Armani featured a total strictness and laconic cut, simplicity and restraint lines, the traditional military style dark green color. If Christoph Dekarnin few seasons later as a source of inspiration used the uniforms of the French soldiers of the XIX century, the foundation of the collection Armani made the simplicity, functionality and austerity of military uniforms has the XX century.
However, the "war" brevity Giorgio Armani autumn collection failed to attract enough attention to military style, and the flourishing of military style hit a few seasons later.
