Mini skirt instantly gained popularity and became the personification of the spirit of London mid-1960s: the spirit of freedom-loving, energetic, rebellious and alien to the conventions of the youth.

"King of the mini-skirt" - Andre Kurrezha

The merit of the creation of mini-skirts belongs not only to Mary Quant. One of the French designers also managed to catch the spirit of the times and make France what Quant made in England and America. It was Andre Kurrezha.

He began to experiment with the length of skirts in 1961, and in late 1964 demonstrated its collection of futuristic minimalist dresses like heralds the advent of the space age and had a scandalous length above the knee. As Quant, Kurrezha shocked the fashion world. But unlike its counterparts, its mini-skirts were more elegance and sophistication of the design, allowing the French high fashion graciously accepted the challenge.
