Mikrokollagenovye pentapeptides

The fibroblasts in aging skin produce less collagen than young skin, yet retain the ability to develop it. Collagen synthesis occurs in response to stimulation with collagen molecules pentapeptide fragments.

At the carboxy end of the collagen molecule is a signal portion which is involved in the regulation of collagen synthesis. Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser pentapeptide is a potent stimulator of collagen and fibronectin, which are essential components of the intercellular medium (dermal matrix).

Copper Peptides

Copper-dependent lysyl oxidase (LO) plays a crucial role in the biogenesis of connective tissue matrices by cross-linking extracellular matrix proteins collagen and elastin. LO levels are elevated in many fibrotic diseases, while in certain diseases associated with impaired copper metabolism, expression of the enzyme is reduced.

In the last decade a gene encoding lysyl oxidase has been cloned, which facilitated the study of regulation of enzyme expression in response to various stimuli and in different disease states. It facilitates its study.
